Vingerbakatel, Trike’s third release, is a dark, twisted, honest and — believe me — humourous album. Recorded and mixed by deranged head honcho Drikus Barnard himself, it sounds remarkably different from their first two offerings. Sound-wise it is almost unassuming and accessible at first, until the dark and brooding undertones and razor-sharp lyrics hit you like a kick in the crotch. Esmé Evakwaad’s voice once again oozes sensuality, making this trip into hell all the more pleasureable.
